Allen Wrench

4-song demo EP-CD

self-released

This CD can be had free at Allen Wrench shows, and is tight and well-recorded. The two-guitar attack of this Gainesville quartet makes for a harder-edged sound than the early days of the band when they only had one guitar, and the rhythm section would be tough to beat. The style is hard alternative post-grunge rock with introspective lyrics; maybe you’ll hear some Tool- or Helmet-type influences, but there are slower, softer parts, too. Really good all-around record.
