Lunasect

Long Lost

LPS

Lunasect is a four-piece band that straddles the line between new age music and ambient electronica. Much of Long Lost is meditative and dreamy, like the first track, “Silhouette.” Track two, “The Mirror Pool,” is chalked full of synthesized beats but can’t really be considered danceable. The album fluctuates along those two extremes and even includes a respectable version of the Cure’s “Fascination Street.” The heavy vocals of Heather Bray contribute to a surreal, atmospheric mood similar to Portishead, but without quite as much gloom.
