Jim Carroll

Runaway EP

Kill Rock Stars

Starting out with an amazing version of “Runaway,” Jim Carroll rocks poetically through these five songs. With three live songs recorded in Portland, the CD is full of raw energy and sound, and you just scream for the angels, hearing that voice, writing like rock n’ roll opium up your inner arm. Playing alongside northwest musicians from bands like the Truly and Dark Fantastic, Jim Carroll moves down into the shadows, alongside the tortured wail of Robert Roth’s guitar and Mark Pickerel’s heart beating drums. Only five songs, and I want more.
