Kittyhawk

Kill Devil Hills

Curious

Kittyhawk is a band that features that bluesy hard rock sound that is so prominent in bands coming out of the bars of Long Island and New Jersey. That small area of the country has never quite gotten over the success of Bruce Springsteen, and the Boss’s influence can be heard subtly and not so subtly in scores of bands from the area. Despite a rather solid band, it•s the strong earthy vocals of front-woman Jennifer Zablocki that allows Kittyhawk to take flight. She is able to breathe some fresh air into the somewhat overused sound of the band.
