Plain Jane

So Much for Anything

self-released

Plain Jane, what an awesome name for a riot grrrl band. Unfortunately, the name was stolen by a Hootie/Dave Mathews-type college rock band. What a downer! This certainly isn’t my cup of tea, but it does seem to be pretty good for what it is. It just doesn’t speak to me. Of course, many of the people that would dig this would say the same thing about Le Tigre or Sleater-Kinney, so what are you going to do? If you’re into that college roots rock thingy, then this might be a good fit; if you think Plain Jane is an indie girl band, then keep shopping.
