The Disco Biscuits

They Missed the Perfume

Megaforce

The presentation of this CD looks as if this band would kick some serious beats, but alas, it’s more along the lines of techno for the adult contemporary fan. There are so many chances on this record for this band to be cool, but the seem to miss all the stops. The deal is that all the songs sound virtually the same, with the exception of “Halekala Crater” (no surprise, written by someone else). The album is noisy (and this is not a good thing). There’s all sorts of noise, but it sounds more like a soundtrack for a vintage video game than a musical collaboration, of any sort. My advice to The Disco Biscuits: image is not everything, you must have some substance to sustain listeners.
