The Swords Project

The Swords Project

Absolutely Kosher

Only four songs! Sometimes, that’s OK• sometimes you are hurting because you need more. This is the case with Portland’s Swords Project. Creating noisy and melodic bursts of enchantment that fall between indie faves like Tristeza and the darker Godspeed You Black Emperor!, this band sends you towards dreamland without letting you sleep. The dynamics are tight and moving, going from guitar jagged to violin smooth in the blink of an eye, and when the soft vocals finally hit, you’re almost ready to cry. tears of joy, of course. Some sadness, but mostly joy.
