All Around the World

Modern Worship Featuring Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Paul Oakley, and Neil Wilson

Sparrow

If there was ever a Fab Four of Christian praise and worship music, then the British Isles have, once again, given the world just this in Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Paul Oakley, and Neil Wilson. All Around the World is jam-packed with Christian pop songs that will get even the nastiest demon of the depths of the abyss dancing and raising its claws in praise! The title track, “All Around the World,” has a techno/dance feel, while “Beautiful Savior” flows along with the emotion of the deepest and most tender ballad. The vocals on all songs bear with the sweetness of the British accents of all four men that are contributors to this recording. I get images of such ’60s bands as The Dave Clark Five and Herman’s Hermits while listening to this CD, and the true message of these songs comes through quite clearly in the lyrics that are purely praise to Jesus Christ. The last track on this CD, “Can a Nation Be Changed,” was added as a bonus track, but it is easily one of the best tunes on the whole production. It was recorded on a fluke, in someone’s living room, while Redman, Oakley, and Hughes were simply jamming acoustically in praise, and lifting their voices in prayer through song for the saving of their nation. All of these four men have their own personal ministries, but they have come together for a wonderful recording of 11 new worship tunes for the contemporary Christian services and worship leaders “all around the world.”
