Recover

Rodeo And Picasso

Fueled By Ramen

File this one under “At the Drive-In Wannabe.” Screamy vocals alternate with stressed out whining to make• umm• something. I mean, parts of this CD are bearable. The second track isn’t too bad, but other parts of the album are, well, painful. Take the first track, for instance. I read a press release saying that Recover are with Rory from the Impossibles and have been trying to explore new musical paths and harder directions. Maybe they should stick to Impossibles-style rock and roll.
