Kittie

Oracle

Artemis

If you had been living under a musical rock for the last few years, the only evidence on Kittie’s new release, Oracle, that they are indeed a female group would be the songs “In Winter,” the Pink Floyd cover “Run Like Hell,” the first single, “What I Always Wanted,” and “Safe.” The hardest song: “No Name.” The oddest song: a perfect toss up between the title track and the last track, “Pink Lemonade.” If you liked Spit, odds are that Oracle will do well. It’s more of the same only they’ve matured quite a bit as individuals and musicians. Even though the routine growling becomes almost boring at some points, they redeem themselves with lyrics you can actually understand here and there and no matter what your feelings on Kittie, the fact that these are women is still just amazing.
