Death Threat

For God & Government

Triple Crown

A serious outburst of edgy straightforward hardcore punk, in the vein of Sick of It All meeting Rancid and having a great time with it. Upbeat and positive, Death Threat are perhaps a bit too concerned about their position within the hardcore environment – a recurring theme in their lyrics – but their music proves that they need not worry. This is in-your-face, uncompromising punk, positive and political, that uses the gang-vocals thing to great effect throughout and manage to create a real sense of unity and solidity.

Skaters could get into this, but don’t expect to hear it on any new Playstation games just yet. Death Threat are far too street-level and politicizing to reach that level of mass consumption and indifferent reception.
