Dreaming

Strictly Rhythm / EMI

The trio of Simon Greenaway, Sacha Collisson, and Lizzy Pattinson have collaborated to make Dreaming one of those remarkable CDs that disappear from memory even as it plays in your stereo. This disc is your usually poppy pap that holds nothing remarkable within its grooves. Pattinson’s voice is not bad but has been heard before and will be heard again. The techno-ed “The Day It Rained Forever” is horribly regrettable. Other than that, though, there’s nothing to get overwhelmingly passionate about. It makes this reviewer feel as though I’m listening to one of those WB soundtracks. Like The Best of Roswell and Charmed, this disc plays strictly for the bubble gum crowd.
