Nedelle

Republic of Two

Kimchee

Multi-talented wunderkind Nedelle Torrisi debuts with a truly impressive disc of irresistibly sweet indie-pop, drawing on a rich wealth of influences ranging from bossa nova to lush singer-songwriter pop. Reminiscent of artists like Dressy Bessy and the Elephant 6 collective, Nedelle even approaches the eclectic whimsy of the Tokyo electro-pop scene, and comes up with something delightfully charming if not astoundingly original. Clocking in at a measly 24 minutes, Republic of Two does anything but outstay its welcome. It succeeds in establishing Nedelle as one exciting new voice in cutie indie-pop. Intriguing and endearing.
