Interesting article here on the quiet end to The Drew Carey Show, which is slipping out the back entrance of Warner Brothers while Friends is on every magazine cover in the checkstand.

Too bad, really; after NewsRadio, The Drew Carey Show was the best new sitcom of the ’90s. Like 97-98% of all shows that stay on more than five years it got increasingly tired creatively in it’s last years, but the classic episodes were good, funny, and arguably subversive.

Plus of course, it’s how I discovered Christa Miller, The Most Beautiful Woman On Television. So here’s to The Drew Carey Show, the good episodes will never die, the bad ones will just fade away…
