The Sound of the Crowd

Teacher, Teacher

Y’know, speaking as a product of the California school system…this reminds me of the time my mother toured a possible new school for me. And reported back she’d heard one of the teachers tell a student another student was “ugly.”

I didn’t go to that school.

Speaking as someone who (let’s face it) has been known to push the envelope of acceptable conversation…even I have my limits.

And speaking as one who looks at the so-called “politicially correct” movement with some skepticism: Dig the way the wannabe civil rights activists’ righteous indignation died down when they realized the child in question wasn’t black.

Like it’s okay to tell little white girls that they’re stupid and dirty? This looks to be one of those situations where nobody covers themselves in glory…
