The Sound of the Crowd

Note To Democrats

You’ve got to get James Carville off the airwaves. I just had the strange experience of watching someone I generally agree with (Carville) debate someone I’m inclined to think, as Jon Stewart put it, is “a douche bag for liberty” (Robert Novak). But Carville comes off like some bizarre hybrid of a snake and a swamp rat. Novak, like a sleek preening puffed-up mongoose who actually has a pretty good sense of humor about himself. That’s very appealing.

If growing up in the Reagan/Bush ’80s/early ’90s, and being (let’s just say I am) a grown man at the turn of the millennium has taught me anything, it’s this: Perception is just as important as reality and in a frightening number of cases moreso.

Carville is doing our cause no more favors.
