Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Dan
This is probably the only thing on which my red state brethern and I are in complete agreement, albeit for different reasons: It is a good thing that veteran CBS News anchor Dan Rather is to resign.
They would say it’s a good thing because he is biased against Bush; I would say just the opposite. Each of us could point to evidence to support our case. But unfortunately, we can agree that a once well-regarded, respected anchorman has become, in his final years, a sad, tired sacrifice on the altar of corporate, ratings seeking “news.”
