The Sound of the Crowd

Who’s to blame?

Remember, it’s always someone’s fault, and that someone is usually a group you want to reassure yourself you’re right to fear, resent and mistrust or otherwise close your eyes to.

What’s to blame for the Tsunami? Why, gays and fornication*, of course.

What causes the spread of AIDS? Liberal judges.

What’s to blame for the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School? Evolutionist teaching.

That last one is from a story about a “new multi-million-dollar Museum of Creation, which will open this spring in Kentucky…The centrepiece of the museum is a series of huge model dinosaurs, built by the former head of design at Universal Studios, which are portrayed as existing alongside man, contrary to received scientific opinion that they lived millions of years apart.”

Y’know…as Bill Hicks pointed out…if dinosaurs existed in biblical times, don’t you think they would’ve been mentioned in the bible somewhere? At least once? Like maybe it would have been a Brontasaurus that led Eve into sin or sumthin’?**

*I like John’s reaction to this: “ If we had the power to create Tsunamis, they wouldn’t be hitting resorts in Asia, they’d be hitting Virginia.”

**And I know about dinosaurs…my nephew is a T-Rex.
