Japan orders changes to school textbooks
Japan’s Education Ministry has again been criticised for rewriting history.
In its latest screening of junior high school textbooks, the Ministry has ordered publishers not to state that weapons of mass destruction were not found in Iraq.
The Ministry has also ordered that the word ‘unilaterally’ be removed from a paragraph which said the United States and it allies had unilaterally attacked Iraq and overthrown the government of Saddam Hussein.</i>
