Truth to Power

Sometimes, its so plain to see

It usually takes some convincing for some of you once I start on one of my rampage topics about how incredibly screwed up our government is, and the mentality that supports it. But sometimes, out of the blue, drops an issue that is framed so perfectly that you don’t have to say much.

Below is an ad prepared to sell attack helicopters. Much ado is being made over the “regretable” (their words) choice to show an image of a helicopter warship hovering over a mosque. And of course the company has pulled the ad, claiming some horsecrap about how it should never have approved, blah lying blah.

“Sometimes, its s-X169”

Lying, because this is PRECISELY the image the us wishes the world to see. Since they are unable to actually defeat the enemy on the field, they must attempt to cow them, and the rest of the world by propaganda such as this. This ad says that the force of the US military will stop at nothing- will destroy your most precious hallmarks- if you don’t submit to their will.

“Regrettable” my ass. “Product delivered” is more like it. Gobbels, welcome to the 21st century.
