Brit Head of Army: We need to leave Iraq
Head of British army calls for Iraq troop withdrawal
London- The head of the British Army has called for a withdrawal of British troops in Iraq, saying that their presence “exacerbates the security problems.” General Sir Richard Dannatt, Chief of the General Staff of the British armed forces, is quoted as saying in an interview with Friday’s edition of the Daily Mail newspaper that Britain should “get out some time soon.”
It is the first time that a senior military figure has publicly questioned Britain’s role in Iraq. </i>
Kudos, sir. Now bring ‘em home.
