Truth to Power

Let’s give Iran a nuke

Hear me out, hear me out.

The United States, as of 2002, had around 10,000 nuclear warheads, give or take. I’m sure that number has increased under the reign of President Strangelove.

Let’s give one of them to Iran.

Instead of debating are they or aren’t they- of course they are- or should they- of course they should, they have just as much right as Israel or Pakistan to defend themselves. Instead of keeping the world held hostage while political games are played from Washington to Tel Aviv to Tehran, just give them a damn nuke.

Seriously. Bring their technicians in who will watch as we strip any sort of guidance system from it, so they know we aren’t giving them a lethal Trojan Horse, and then fly it to Iran, slap it on a missile, and set it down in the middle of Tehran or wherever. Let them join the club- but only one. And when we give it to them, we’ll explain about our satellite tracking systems, and how if that missile raises one inch off the ground, we have 10,000 more that will lock on it, and wipe you off the map. Sure, you might get that one bomb into Israel, but you’ll cease to exist afterward.

It’s called deterrence, and it worked for the cold war, and it will certainly work here.
