Scientist Turned Comedian
Scientist Turned Comedian
With Tim Lee
Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival – Green Venue</strong>
I love this guy’s charts, but I wouldn’t let him present in a meeting I cared about. Dr Lee (PhD in something that needs WAY more math than you job does) appears in an inoffensive grey suit, button down shirt with no tie, and speaks too quietly – even his microphone can’t make him loud enough to command the podium. But his Power Point skillz are awesome and he can take rather exotic mathematical and physical concept and make them clear: Exponential decay is related to his underwear drawer, Chaos Theory to a night of drinking, and the marital woes of high paid athletes are tied to the disassociation of salt dissolving in water. This guy got laughs on a Taylor’s Series Expansion joke, and he can really tie the esoteric to the common place but he seems too quiet and unaware of how he sounds to his audience. By far, this was the geekiest show I’ve ever Fringed.
