Metal signs UP! Let’s get those heads BANGING! These guys are old school rockers, complete with a lead singer with a two quart a day Jack Daniels voice. That’s Brett Lloyd, and his classic eardrum busting wall of sound recalls early Motorhead or Metallica; there’s a confidence and swagger in the voice, a measured beat in the bass (Chris Kernstock) and vocals that are clear enough to let you follow the lyrics without burdening you with a political or romantic message that would interfere with your air guitar solo. Being an EP, there are only 4 tracks here, but each is a gem; I recommend the guitar solo on “Hateburn” – it’s sweet but way too short, and I’d put guitarist Joe Festa can stand up against any other metal band on tour today. I give these guys two devil’s horns up!
