Tales Too Tall To Tell

Tales Too Tall To Tell

With Paul Strickland and Erika Kate MacDonald

Brown Venue

Orlando Fringe Festival

Loch Haven Park, Orlando, FL</strong>

Paul Strickland returns us to the Big Fib Cul-de-Sac Trailer Park aided and abetted by the lovely Erika Kate MacDonald to celebrate a birthday party. The park is filled with eccentrics like Ma and Pa Paganda and Aunt True and Uncle False and the “Mullet Over” Barbershop. While Strickland’s cabinet of eccentrics sound a bit extreme they always hold to an internal logic that you can see but never practice. I’d rate this mixed media show, Ms. MacDonald sings and plays kazoo while Strickland wields his acoustic guitar. They invent new instruments a perform a cool shadow puppet show, then we visit the little known North Dakota beaches and eat more bad puns that you can stand. I’m talking to YOU, “Box of Ticks”. Like a bus tour through a foreign country the view into this world is always fascinating yet you can safely return to planet Florida any time you want.

This commentary was based on a technical prevue.

This show was part of the 2015 Orlando Fringe Festival. Information on tickets and times may be found at www.OrlandoFringe.org.
