The Biggest Little Farm

It’s the urban dream: blow off city life and move to an idyllic farm in the middle of paradise. We meet the Chester’s and their dog who barks so much they get evicted. Suddenly funding appears, and they are off creating a thriving eco-friendly farm filled with all the animals they saw in their children’s books. An earth friendly consultant teaches them the secret to restoring the soil: add poop and worms. With 100 or so acres in the hills above Venture they soon are up and running. There are more than few gaps here: how much did this really cost and who had pockets deep enough to take this risk? And why did they let these seemingly unqualified proto farmers manages multimillion-dollar risk? These are left open, but the positive note here is how they persevered and overcame pests from snails to coyotes.
