I Got Me

It’s OK to not fit in, and every once in a while we get someone who is really good at it, like Joanna Sternberg. It’s like a friend offering to play you some songs she wrote, then breaking out into the most deeply personal confession. A single listen brings you into that world, a place that can be terrifying and/or childlike, populated with a quavering voice, a single accompanying instrument, and songs so guilelessly intimate you can’t help but feel comfort in that discomfort.
