Myron Elkins’ album Factories, Farms, & Amphetamines, produced by Dave Cobb, has garnered significant attention, earning the band the opening spot for many headliners, and sharing the stage with Marcus King was a perfect match. Elkins and the band delivered a fantastic performance, warming up the crowd for Marcus King with their signature Michigan-based rock and roll. As the guys wrapped up their set, many attendees rushed to the merch booth to grab an album and express their gratitude to Myron for an outstanding opening performance.

Then, the Marcus King Band illuminated the McGrath Amphitheater on the banks of the Cedar River, showcasing some of the finest musical talent on the road today. With the ability to effortlessly deliver swampy blues and soulful R&B, Marcus King and his band had the entire audience on their feet, as the nonstop set flowed seamlessly from one fantastic song to the next. It’s an absolute treat to witness these potential legends in the making, and Cedar Rapids eagerly anticipates their next visit for another spectacular show.
