These Bristolian architects improve upon the original designs with this (justifiably) long-awaited jammy. Sticking with Horace Andy was smart. Enlisting Liz Fraser was even smarter. The consciously live sound is effective, although I’m not sure I can say the same about the overt rock bits. While they aren’t nearly as creative and fucked as their former mongrel-eyed mate Tricky, you can’t deny their innate understanding of flow.
