Lonely Trailer

Multimeteor

MUD

Every month, there’s a couple of reviews that I end up postponing, usually because I just can’t seem to find the right words to accurately describe something. Lonely Trailer’s Multimeteor has been like that for a few months now. The band’s short attention span where it comes to style is probably to blame. Teetering between the extremes of outright rockouts, nods to Tortoise (“Go”), and the soulfully out of tune “Possibilities,” Multimeteor is an album of many albums, sounding more like a collection of musical ideas that Lonely Trailer has had kicking in the last twelve years than the results of a grueling recording schedule. More different is more better. Mud Records, 905 S. Lynn Street, Urbana, IL 61801-5205
