Kraftwelt

Retroish

Hypnotic

Truth in advertising prevails on this tasteful document dedicated to Ralf and Florian of Kraftwerk. Fans of both bands should enjoy the overall tone of Kraftwelt’s second album, Retroish. The best way that I can describe the music is by saying that my mom dropped me off at the roller rink in sixth grade and forgot to pick me up. I long for the teenage girls in satin baseball jackets and pigtails. Maybe Kraftwelt do, too. That would explain this whole electro and breakbeat revival. At least the label and the band aren’t guilty of posing because this is as real as it gets, even in Denmark. Genuine old school sans the moldy attitude.
