Divine Love Mission

Divine Love Mission

Divine Love Mission is a South Florida band that has been making quite a splash on the local scene. This band consists of talented musicians and songwriters, and the way they put it all together is just perfect. Original, yet similar in sound to goth legends with great keyboards London After Midnight, Inaura, and Malaise, this band has a new and improved line up, featuring Nathan on guitars (from the LA band the Guttercats, who were featured on the TV show Married with Children some years ago), Shanyn on keyboards (who was formerly playing drums for the band), and bass player Robyn (who now sings for the band). These guys sport an outrageous image, unlike a lot of the newer bands on the scene today, and they have a slick stage presence too, along with their fantastic bubble machine.

Now they have a new CD out that also features their new video to “Adventure in Morality” on CD-ROM, which looks very professional and well done. What a genius idea. Some of the songs on this CD include the catchy “Bleach Away the Night,” the danceable “Adventure in Morality” (a classic Divine Love Mission song), the emotional “Goodnight,” the fast paced “Eva Braun,” which is somewhat reminiscent of a Berlin song, and “Immunity Doctrine,” which features some of Nathan’s classic guitar sounds. Also on this CD is a surprisingly bizarre cover of “The Last Kiss,” a Pretty Boy Floyd song. These songs are laced with creative keyboard harmonies and clever hooks that make them memorable as well as danceable. This ties in with their philosophy, which is, “Make the goths dance!”

They also plan to do a “Tri County Tour” before doing a world tour, so don’t miss this exciting and wild band with personality and an entertaining live show at their next performance. You’ll be in for a delightful show you won’t forget.
