DMX Krew

We Are DMX

Rephlex

The cover ought to be a clear indication of the cheeze smothering you’re about to be faced with. Embrace it or be choked. DMX Krew make music with simplistic electronic beats and sequences that come straight out of the ’80s dance scene. It’s got an odd flavor to it as well, kinda like some of those records you’d find in the import bins – stylistically similar to domestic releases but with different approaches.

Yeah, very ’80s. It’s easy to imagine ultra-ridiculous videos for these songs. This record is a guilty little pleasure, one more suited for private listening than for driving around town with your windows rolled down. Unless maybe your krew has color coordinated clothing and you’re driving a convertible to a D.A.R.E. dance-off with a rival krew at the mall. Be sure and smile big.
