Lilienthal

Castor & Pollux

Emanate

Lilienthal’s electronics are a particularly warm and engaging blend of melodica. Lush and refreshing like a hot cup of well-brewed coffee/chai. Occasional bursts of skewed rhythm interject, but never in an obtrusive way. It’s like seeing a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Surprising, but very pleasant. The tracks vary from bouncy and dancey to decidedly armchair based listening. The title track is a lovely, bubbly, slightly dubby journey, a touch on the dark side, but mainly on a mysterious level. This is what going through the dryer with a load of blankets on a very slow speed would feel like. Delicious.
