Man, Kreator’s “kreated” a heavy metal album on mega-steroids! And fans of True Metal will know that Kreator’s one of the best of German thrash metal since their inception in 1985.

Well then, Violent Revolution preaches violence through classic thrash metal.

According to the liner notes, frontman Mille Petrozza and company focused on what are best translated as “personal issues” and George Orwell’s Animal Farm. Maybe so, but it’s obvious “Servant In Heaven/King In Hell” borrows heavily from Milton’s Paradise Lost. “All of the Same Blood (Unity)” is about• Um, hmmm, German band, song called “All of the Same Blood”? Oh, it’s about metalheads united by metal music. I’ll tell you one thing, I was banging my head and joining in the chorus less than one-quarter of the way through the title track. This is an intense, excellent metal album, hearkening back to the glory days of Metal Ragnarok that was 1989 to 1991, classic Kreator, always a Brainhammer! staple.
