Jupither

It’s Planetary

Crank!

This six-track mini-CD by Swedish band Jupither was originally released back in 1998, and has, for whatever reason, been picked up for international distribution now. Since 1998, Jupither have released other albums and singles, and why the label has decided to revisit this one rather than any of the newer material, is beyond me – because this one just doesn’t cut it, and it would’ve been much better to simply leave it behind and move on. The miserable production and bland performances do the run-of-the-mill, sub-standard pop-rock material no favor, and quality control is lacking from all involved. An energetic performance could’ve saved some of the sad remains, but everyone is obviously bored by the whole process, and there really is no reason for you or anyone else to hear this. Let’s hope they got better with time.
