Bacon Brothers Premiere “Old Bronco” Video
In case you haven’t heard, Ballad of the Brothers drops tomorrow, and it’s a sweet ode to kith and kin in a laid-back barn-country style.
Kevin and Michael Bacon, super-talented brothers (one of which has an Emmy), release their final premiere video of the album today. Get a look at Kevin’s “Old Bronco,” as seen through the eyes of a dude who’s seen a lot of stuff, below.
“What I’ve seen is who I am / Just like my old Bronco / Edmund Pettus Bridge to Vietnam / Just like my old Bronco / But / these days all I see is red / Just like my old Bronco
Please, some better days ahead / Just like my old Bronco / Peace and freedom a mirage / And I’m here stuck in my garage / Just like my old Bronco.”
It’s a bit wistful and a touch sentimental, if you get it, and I get it. Kevin bought his 1969 Bronco, “Old Betty” (who gets a song credit for “ambiance”), during the pandemic. As he explains, “it’s old, I’m old, and that’s what the song is about.”
The videographer is Bradley Wagner, and the audio engineer is Juan Soria. Featured image is by Jacob Blinkenstaff.
