There is something about countrified ballads from Austin, Texas that makes toes tap and heads bob. This CD contains nine of these little gems. “Baby You Were Right” is the finest song I’ve heard in months. It’s emotional without getting schmaltzy, tuneful without getting cliché. On the more soulful side, “You Make Me Feel” and “Think On Those Things” are wonderful love songs. A song titled “Open Mic” surely must contain some autobiographical (and insightful) lines. This is a very satisfying album. Locked Groove Entertainment, PO Box 948301, Maitland, FL 32794.
