Papillion

Cajun for Kids

Music for Little People

It’s time for me to get back to the inner child that dwells in all of us. The time when there is no stress, and everything in life is a game. That is what this CD reminded me of: stories of different cultures and upbringing that I can only imagine. Papillion shares his upbringing, which consisted of good Cajun food, French culture, and excellent zydeco music. This CD is a great learning tool, both for the musical aspect of zydeco, and the Cajun/French culture found in New Orleans. When I grew up, my mother, who is Finnish, used to play me Finnish children’s music. I had no idea what they were saying, but the music connected me to the culture. That is what this CD does. At the same time, I learned a little French, and soon, I was dancing to these quirky little songs. This is a must if you have children between the ages of 4 and 8. Music For Little People, P.O. Box 1460, Redway, CA 95560
