Junior

Works

Eightball

OK all you househeads and closet ravers this is what all the sassy boys and gals have been waiting for: Junior Works. Yes, yes it’s two CDs continuously mixed by thee NY godfather of house, Junior Vasquez. Love him or leave him he’s still the man that moves Manhattan on any given weekend.

Since the majority of our readership can’t always jet to NYC this is about as close as they’ll ever get to witnessing the man in action. What you need to know is that disc one is pretty tame, while #2 gets a little more involved, The party is going to rock even though Jr. seems to lose interest in mixing a song or two half way through the program. It’s almost as if to say, “Hey I know that 50,000 of these are gonna blow off the shelves whether I mix my stylus into dust or not.” Don’t get me wrong – even with the slack mix it’s a good program by one of the biggest and baddest DJs in the world. As you can imagine, the tracks are top drawer. Trendy house for the next wave of handbag. That’s meant as a compliment. Eightball, 50 W. 17th St., 12th Floor, New York, NY 10003
