Heavy Vegetable

Mondo Aqua Kitty

Headhunter/Cargo

Heavy Vegetable is one of those bands whose life span was too short, given its talents. Complicated rhythms and abrupt changes of tempo and mood may not be uncommon, but Heavy Vegetable’s deft touch made them memorable and (almost) hummable. You had to be a very good hummer. This collection of tracks from singles, compilations, and the odd dusty corner is mostly acoustic; it sounds almost subdued in comparison to other HV albums. Of special note is “Excesses,” a tribute to Stewart Copeland’s Klark Kent and Rumblefish days. Bonus track included! Cargo Records, 4901-906 Morena Blvd., San Diego, CA 92117-3432
