The Reverend Horton Heat

It’s Martini Time

Interscope

Just three of these fuckers. Your basic power trio of drums, bass, and guitar. All three do vocals. Starts out with a bang and then refuses to let up. You can kinda get the idea of what’s going on when a track that won’t let your foot quit tapping is entitled “Slow.”

Rough edges, done with a sharp, clean finish. Blues, punk, ’50s rock and roll, homocountry, and just general ass-kicking stuff that nowhere sags or appears to be mere filler. Every single cut, though various as hell, is well worth listening to.

Kinda makes me wanna grab the gun and pull into some thick tubes working over a dangerously shallow reef.
