Numb

Language of Silence

Metropolis

Having released some of the most intense and driving electro-industrial music to enter the dance floor, Numb are back with a true masterpiece of the genre. Language of Silence brings the programming creativity and production talents of Numb into a new dimension.

The opening track, “Respect,” is a dance floor commando whose driving beats and intense keyboard programming truly demand the listeners respect. The following electro assault “Suspended” combines strong EBM overtones with stunning rhythms and climactic moments of sheer bliss. “Illumination Rounds” is an gorgeous instrumental piece that stirs images of a dark movie soundtrack. This slower paced song provides the ideal prelude into the rhythmically ruthless “No Remorse.” “Closer” is the album’s fastest and most diverse track, showcasing the band’s ever-evolving musical journey. The following gem “Defiler” brings out the very best of Numb’s sheering vocal treatments and digital madness.

No track disappoints on Language of Silence, and thus it makes for an unparalleled aural experience. For fans of older Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Die Krupps, X-Marks the Pedwalk and Haujobb, this album is a must. Enjoy!
