Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds

Live at Luther College

Bama Rags

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, a regular member of the Dave Matthews Band, recorded this live acoustic set at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on February 6, 1996. This two-disc recording features Matthews and Reynolds on guitar, with vocals by Matthews. Many Dave Matthews Band classics, such as “Tripping Billies,” “Warehouse,” and “Ants Marching” are represented here, in addition to other originals. This is a beautiful, intimate live recording that showcases the unique vocal style of Matthews and the intricate guitar playing of Reynolds. Matthews’ softly-spoken vocals are equally as strong and defined as the more intense, passionate ones. Given the lack of saxophone, violin, and drums, fans will immediately notice the stripped down, raw nature of the music. Anyone looking for an excellent live, acoustic album will surely appreciate Live at Luther College .
