88 Fingers Louie

Back on the Streets

Hopeless

Crazy combination of the “cool” melodic hardcore bands of the last five years. We have some No Use for a Name, Good Riddance, and NOFX for influences. Heavy on the No Use for a Name influence. Every now and then, 88 Fingers throws in a 1988-style hardcore gang vocal. I think the name of the band is based on an old piano playin’ mobster (these guys are from Chicago) and not on the fabled year when hardcore was all finger-pointing and Champion hoodies. Bonus points for the cover of the all-time greatest hardcore band, Bad Brains (“Fearless Vampire Killers”). The Fat Wreck/Epitaph kids like it, so let them have it.
