I thought Nothing Feels Good was pretty durn poppy, but this pushes emo-pop even further into bop-bop-bop singalongland. I can’t imagine many people familiar with the Promise Ring would be too surprised by this. Or disappointed, for that matter. Their musical sensibilities continue to steadily mature, producing a stronger release each time around while never straying too far from their own distinct path.
Copycats abound, but few pull it off anywhere near as well.
