Bob Delavante

Porchlight

Relay

If you like a big-and-fat-usually-rolling-and-sometimes-rocking-alternative-country sound, with very strong songwriting and sometimes sentimental lyrics that recall fond memories of home and places in the heart. Or, if you simply liked the previous Delavantes release, you’ll most likely dig this solo effort by one of the Delavante brothers just as much. If not, run like hell in the other direction. I do tend to think anyone could appreciate this recording on some level, whether it would simply be for the depth of the songwriting, or for the strong lineup of musicians who gel in various configurations to give this recording it’s musical strength. All songs on this release were written by Delavante with mixing and mastering by Buddy Miller. Players and singers include Miller, Emmylou Harris, Gary Tallent, Southside Johnny, Greg Trooper, Kevin Gordon, Duane Jarvis, Joan Besen, Jeff Black, Fats Kaplin, Bryan Owings, Mike Delavante, John Noreen, Jody Nordone, Shelia Lawrence, Dave Jacques and Mike Porter. I highly recommend it.
