Lab Animals

Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars

Digital Dimension

Wade through all the dry ice and the throngs of lawnmower-cord-pullin’ vampiras at your local goth club and you’d most likely find the soundtrack accompanying all that playin’-dress-up strikingly close to – nay, exactly like – Lab Animals’ Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars . More cyber-punk than modern industrial (which isn’t true industrial, say, like Throbbing Gristle or early Neubauten), Lab Animals seem quite content to keep on rockin’ in the digital world, wherewith such production techniques semi-mask a wholesale lack of remotely interesting ideas. No bones about it, on a front line assembly of similarly cloned bands, you’re not gonna tell these skinny puppies apart from all the others.
