To paraphrase Tom Servo, any CD with the wockacha-wockacha is OK with me. Full-on ’70s funk to get your mojo risin’, this is a compilation of humpin’ music from such classic skin flicks as Dick Dagger’s Big Dick Dilemma , Cramming For College , If it Ain’t Easy, it Ain’t Sleazy , and SpiderPussy . Legendary porn king Ron “The Hedgehog” Jeremy is your host on this retrospective, introducing the tracks by reprising roles as the college professor offering extra credit on an exam that’s “20% written, 30% oral, and 50% anal,” the pilot that’s providing inductions into the Mile High Club, and the plumber, who’s come to clean your pipes.
OK, so the joke here is that these movies don’t exist at all – Pornosonic is the brainchild of guitarist/songwriter Don Argott, goofing off in the studio with some really authentic-sounding funk. This stuff may not have actually appeared in ’70s porn, but with horns squawkin’, flutes trilling, congas pounding, bass thumpin’, and the omnipresent wockacha-wockacha guitar, it sure could have been. Jeremy seems to have a lot of fun playing up the cheese factor, and his introductions are a hoot. Great as both a novelty and as a dissection of the genre, Pornosonic is worth checkin’ out – if nothing else, it’s sure to get the action goin’ at your next party!
