Sidewalk b/w Gene Pool

Hopeless

Short but sweet, new wave-stained pop punk screaming out through the two songs on this too-short single. Just the power and energy, and maybe something in the delivery, brings to mind the Buzzcocks, but there’s a nagging undertone that makes me think of Alec Eiffel-era Pixies. Maybe it’s just my head buzzing like a wind tunnel. The b-side kicks it a bit faster, throwing in some female vocals and a little of guitar chaos. Sending the sound a bit harder into the ’90s, but it’s still buzzing in my brain.
